#helloim captain! I started bzl.co as a way for my fellow in-game buddies and I to keep in touch if/when they / I moved on from whatever game I was into at the moment. You know how it goes - you get to know someone really well while grinding endless weeks to hit your goals or working together with others on a strategy to take down a boss, and then RL happens and you lose touch. This is a place where you can talk about games, anime, and the like. Get your friends on board so you can keep in touch and even make new friends as you find other cool games / things to watch. I'm working on some cool features so stick around.

Greetings BZL'rs. I'm hoping to get some feedback on a fairly big feature I'm considering implementing please. BZL's story posting functionality is somewhat limited in the sense that it is used like a blog entry where you might share a screen or video or some piece of news. My thought is to also create a way to ask questions, share opinions, etc - a forum. The forums would be limited to Games, Anime and Art. Posting to these forums would be simple - ie, add '#forum #art' when adding a new story. Optionally, you could click a 'forum' button which expands to show a list of available forums. Focus would be placed on simplicity and keeping the interface clean. Forum threads would be shown on the right column like on the above image. The story c

Thought I'd post a bit about a recent feature update called #Communities. By tagging your stories with a supported tag (ie, MapleStory), your story will appear on that community page. These are basically glorified tag pages, but with a relevant avatar + cover, bio and link. You may notice that your profile page also now shows a list of communities you're a part of (ie, ). This is of course all automated. More communities coming soon. Let me know what you think of the feature and if you have any ideas on which games / manga / anime to add. Thanks for your time, patronage and feedback!

Hey all, hope you're well. Just thought I'd gauge your feedback on the recent update to include videos from various video game companies. I understand that some of them struck you as ads, that was not at all my intention. Like you, I enjoy the variety of things people post here (plants, food, anime, illustrations, etc) and I would be loathe to squash that. Instead, my hope was to start some more conversations and get more people on to the site by automatically generating some stories based on popular games. Nontheless, I think it came off as intrusive and threatening to the close community that's been established. Thus, I've removed the big companies (Nintendo, Playstation, Xbox, Pokemon) from the site. Instead, I've added some indie develo

It's always exciting to see someone hone their skills to the point where they go beyond emulating their inspiration to a place where they can explore the things inside their head. At the same time, it's important for someone from the outside looking in to keep in mind that great art is not an island, there is many years of work involved in getting to that point. There are no shortcuts - everyone gets out of it what they put into it. Whether you've heard of Ian Olympia, aka wicked alucard, is not entirely important. His body of work as an illustrator of 11 years is a great example of that transformation from emulation to personal exploration.
