So I finished Shining Resonance Refrain on both modes, AND ALL I GET IS A STAR ON MY SAVE FILES! Totally best reward ever. Can't get enough of those stars. I rate it a 75/100. It's just the typical evil-dragon-being-resurrected-to-destroy-the-whole-world kind of story, like every Fire Emblem ever. I guess I'll type up a review and thoughts about this game.
I'm as much of a geek for the new stuff as anyone else, but do the controllers on the Nintendo Switch strike anyone else as being far too small? They remind me of those horrendous things you sometimes see on an airplane. At first, while sitting down you freak out with joy inside at the thought of gaming during your flight. Then you get your hands on it and realize it's as unwieldy as a banana covered in butter. The guys holding these controllers look like they're in serious pain. C'mon Nintendo.
I'm a bit of a geek for pixelated artwork, no doubt. But there aren't many people who bring a new flair to it. Daniel Linssen does lots of indie games with a relatively unique graphical style that's quaint and fun and reminds me a little bit of reading books in grade school. It was a time when your mind had the capacity for mystery, magic and consciousness. Good fun.
